Designed by award-winning Richard Berg, Chancellorsville: Pinnacle of Victory placesyou in command of either the Army of the Potomac or the Army of Northern Virginia. Units on both sides represent half-brigades, the approach emphasizes realism without sacraficing playability. Stacking both units together simulates a dense attack column while placing them side by side creates a long thin line. The beautifully detailed maps of the battlefields are scaled at 265 yards to the hex and each day turn represents about an hour. Players must meet the challenge of mastering both operations and tactics to be ultimately succesful. Included are several smaller scenarios covering the actions at Salem Church and Jackson's crushing attack on the Union right flank at Chancellorsville. Of course, a Grand campaign Scenario allows both sides to recreate the entire battle, possibly avoiding the mistakes of the original commanders. Special rules cover 0ff-board movement, bridging and entrenching techniques, and the random events that plagued both sides throughout the campaign...
