Winther ZIP LOCK FOLIO VERSION NEW 100% COMPLETE UNPUNCHED & UNPLAYED   CAEN  is The Campaign in France in World War Two was very difficult for the allies.  The Allies usually had a very slight numerical advantage on the line and their progress toward Rome was stopped cold when they reached the German Gustav Line in late 1943. Allied attempts to draw off the Germans by landing at Anzio only had the effect of drawing off some of the German mobile reserves. In this game, the allied player is attempting to break the Gustav Line dominated by the famous Monte cassino position which towered over the Lire Valley. The German player realizes he will get few new units and must send off units to defend against the ANZIO operation. Both player sides have difficult victory conditions and each must use every trick they can and every tool in their arsenals to crack their opponent's army. Cassino uses several "game " concepts that are convenient.  We use divisional elements rather than regiments to avoid confusion on withdrawals and appearance.  What is north on the map directions is not necessarily directly due north; it is instead basically compatible with the map edges.  fog of war existed in this campaign, most noticeable was the Allied bombing of Monte Cassino and the hedging on whether or not the Germans were really there.  We allow the Germans to initially invert their pieces to help confuse the Allies.  Over all you will find this game very challenging.   Contents (1) Fold-Out Map - 22" x 34"  (1) Game Rules Booklet (1) Series Rules Booklet (100) (100% UNPUNCHED) Counter Sheet (1) Order of Battle Sheet  (2) Dice Zip Lock Get images that make Supersized seem small.Showcase your items with Auctiva's Listing Templates!
